*    They reduce labour and offer the right nutrient ratio for different crops and their respective stages of development.
*    They supply a balance of nutrients required at all stages

The Range
Fertilizer blends with different nutrient ratios are required in order to meet the varying nutrient demand of different crops and stages of development to which fertilizer can be applied. Below is the range which meets this requirement.

What are Trace elements?
These are nutrients required by plants in small quantities and they are vital ingredient in the growing healthy plants and in high yields, quality crops, healthy livestock and hence profitable return. Some examples include Copper, Zinc, Manganese, Molybdenum and Boron.

Quick Start Plus (10:46:10 + Trace elements)
This blend is rich in phosphate and balanced nitrogen to potash ratio for quick root establishment and development. It is suitable for crops and growing periods with a high phosphate demand. For most crops it is used in the initial stages of seeding, transplanting and young plant, to which 2-3 weekly or fortnightly applications are normally adequate

Quick Grow Plus (20:10:20 + Trace elements)
Quick Grow plus is a fertilizer rich in Nitrogen and Potash for the nutrition of all young plants, non-flowering or foliate ornamental plants and crop establishment through to flowering for those that flower. It is in a ratio balanced for the optimum development of all horticultural crops. In addition it contains phosphate and sulphur required by plants for normal development. On average 2-3 weekly or fortnightly applications are adequate, but may differ with some crops.

Best Bloom Plus (15:5:35 + Trace elements)
This blend is rich in Potash which is a major element necessary for flowering and fruit formation. It also contains relatively high nitrogen, some phosphate and sulphur required by plants for normal development. It is specially formulated to switch plants from the vegetative phase to flowering and fruiting phase. It is therefore very suitable for flowering and fruiting plants because of the high potash requirements by plants at this stage. Number of application will vary with crop, crop flowering and fruit production period.

ZFC Hydrofert (20:10:20):
This is the recommended fertilizer for the float seedlings. This product has been formulated for use in tobacco float seedbeds. It contains neither chlorine nor sodium which are harmful to tobacco. It also contains a range of trace elements essential for tobacco seedling growth.

Foliar 15
This is a liquid fertilizer which contains soluble major and minor trace elements in concentrated form together with wetting agent to ensure good coverage of leaf surfaces. The fertilizer can be applied in a wide range of crops. To obtain best results apply during active growth periods. The dilution ratio is 40ml in every 10litres of clean water.

Foliar Feed
This is a concentrated liquid fertilizer for a wide range of crops including ornamentals. It contains an acidifier and a spreader. It contains soluble major and minor nutrients in concentrated form. The dilution ratio is 20ml in every 10litres of clean water. The product can be applied with regular insecticide and fungicidal spray however consult label for specific pesticides.

Wuxal 3.2.1:A foliar fertilizer which contains all elements for use in the prevention or eradication of certain nutrient deficiencies in a broad range of crops.

Wuxal Calcium: A foliar fertilizer which contains calcium and other elements for use in the prevention calcium deficiency or eradication of certain nutrient deficiencies in a broad range of crops.

Recommended rates and application of Quick Start Plus, Quick Grow Plus and Best Bloom Plus.
The blends can be used on their own or they can be used to complement the conventional fertilizers such as ZFC Vegeblend (9:24:20) or ZFC Tobaccofert (5:15:12), ZFC Seedbedfert (7:21:8), ZFC Potato Blend (10:19:25)

The blends can either be drenched, applied as foliar sprays or they can be used in fertigation situations.
A fertigation programme can be drawn for a specific area, for more information contact ZFC Limited Technical Services and Product Support Department.

Other specialty fertilizers that you get from ZFC Limited

Solubor: is a straight fertilizer applied as a foliar spray, drench, or through fertigation to supply boron.

Magnesium Sulphate:  is a straight fertilizer supplying magnesium and sulphur. Sulfur, a key element in plant growth, is critical to production of vitamins, amino acids (therefore protein), and enzymes. It's also the compound that gives vegetables such as broccoli and onions their flavors.

Magnesium Nitrate:  This product can be used to supply both magnesium and nitrogen. The product dissolves well in water and is suitable for foliar fertilization and nutrient solutions.  Nitrate facilitates the uptake of magnesium.

Mono Ammonium Phosphate (MAP):  is a phosphate based fertilizer mainly used at planting or in fertigation to supply nitrogen and phosphorus to young crops.

Mono Potassium Phosphate (MKP):  a straight fertilizer that contain potash and phosphate for use in all horticultural crops.

Potassium Nitrate:  is a straight fertilizer which contains nitrogen and potash mainly for use in all horticultural crops.

Calcium Nitrate:  a specialty straight fertilizer supplying calcium and nitrogen to all horticultural and field crops.

Muriate of Potash (MOP): Muriate of Potash is a straight fertilizer that supplies potash to all horticultural and field crops especially the fruiting and flowering types that are tolerant to chlorine.

Sulphate of Potash (SOP): is a straight fertilizer that supplies potash to all horticultural and field crops especially those that flower and crops that are sensitive to chlorine.

Di-Ammonium Phosphate (DAP):  a straight fertilizer rich in phosphate and nitrogen, suitable for all horticultural and field crops.
